Jim has spent the better part of three decades working in public relations, marketing communications and journalism — all of it in and around Boston.
For close to 11 years he was a managing director with the Boston office of Porter Novelli, a global, full-service PR agency. As a hands-on managing director, Jim led client relations, client service, employee relations and business development. He worked closely with clients and account teams to build compelling communications programs and brand initiatives for the likes of HP, BMC Software, NeuStar, 3Com (acquired by HP), Ascential Software (acquired by IBM) and Stratus Technologies as well as emerging companies like IBRIX (acquired by HP), MatrixOne (now part of Dassault Systemes) and Sociocast.
Since Porter Novelli, Jim helped launch a start-up tech boutique consultancy called 3Point Communications, served as managing director of a reputation communications firm – Morrissey & Company – and led client relations for PAN Communications.
